I have managed to map all the required functions on the joystick and its buttons and they all work on the simulation. My joystick has a little throttle control on it, I map that weapon group 6 for when I use a tag laser, so that I can just turn it on and leave it on.Įdited by Mogney, 02 August 2013 - 10:53 AM. I find the ability to aim is much better with the mouse, and I found that using the twist of the joystick for the torso was just too difficult to manage in a game where you are doing the helicoptor thing (walking one direciton while looking and firing another) The mouse buttons do weapon groups 1 and 2, I generally find that 3 groups is plenty. I map the HAT to toggle the vaious vision modes (night, heat, zoom, module zoom) I map the trigger to jump jets, and the thumbbuttons for targeting (the R key), weapon group 3, alpha strike, and my push to talk for teamspeak. Rotatin the joystick does absolutely nothing. Joystick up/down makes mech go forward and backward, turning it left and right makes the mech go left and right. The main control axes are in the Primary Flight Controls menu. In the central panel, go through the menus to find the specific command you want to map to a button or axis. Yeah, you dont need the throttle if you do it the way I do. In the Options/Controls menu, be sure to click on your HOTAS in the column on the left so that’s what you’re editing. Tired of having to go to the control settings to change your controllers (joystick, throttle, etc) pre-set for each aircraft Released now: Eas圜ontrols for MSFS A simple freeware application that allows you to setup all your controllers through 1 app, and configure them all with 1 simple dropdown menu for a different aircraft.
